January 29 – February 4, 2023

Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States, including in schools in the Diocese of Madison. It starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week, which in 2023 is January 29 to February 4. The theme for Catholic Schools Week 2023 is "Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service."

At St. Maria Goretti, it is one of our favorite weeks of the year as we celebrate our school and Catholic education. The SMG Catholic School serves students in preschool through eighth grade. We are encouraged to see so many of our families choosing Catholic education for their children.

Activities Scheduled by Teachers

• Grades Pre-K-2: “Guest Reader(s)” will come come in and read a favorite book to the students
• School-wide: St. Vincent De Paul Personal Care Collection
• Grades K-8: Valentine and cardinal ornament making for VA hospital
• Artist in Residence: Musician, Randy Peterson, will work with all classes during the week
