Abby Schumacher began teaching Preschool at St. Maria Goretti in 2021.

Abby attended the University of Notre Dame where she received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. After college, she worked providing therapy for children on the autism spectrum both in a preschool program and privately. She spent the last thirteen years at home with her children. During that time, she had the opportunity to help found and run a Catholic preschool co-op.

Abby and her husband, Alex, have been parishioners at St. Maria Goretti since 2007. They have four children, two are attending St. Maria Goretti and two are attending St. Ambrose Academy. In her free time, Abby enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and planning the next family road trip.
