Carl Richardson began his first year of teaching at St. Maria Goretti in 2024.
Carl is originally from California and attended Northwestern University following high school. He received his undergraduate degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at UW-Whitewater.
Carl and his wife, Grace, recently married in December of 2023 at St. Paul’s Catholic Student Center in downtown Madison. Grace is a fellow teacher at St. Maria Goretti. They are incredibly grateful to be welcomed into the family at SMG, as they have greatly connected with the distinct reverential emphasis in the parish.
Carl ultimately plans on becoming a licensed professional counselor who specializes in Christian counseling. He is immensely excited at the opportunity to work in a Catholic environment and at the prospect of helping students on their journey with Christ.
In his free time, Carl loves to pray, read books on Christian apologetics (with Imagine the God of Heaven being a favorite), and play tennis.
