Celine Schmiesing started teaching at St. Maria Goretti in the fall of 2023. She serves as the 5th and 6th grade homeroom teacher and teaches 7th and 8th grade grammar and religion.
She is a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and earned a STEM Education degree with a minor in English. Throughout college, she worked as a confirmation retreat leader and assisted at local schools. In her last semester, she was hired as an intern teaching 3rd and 4th grade.
Celine is originally from the Madison area and attended Catholic middle and high school. Because of this, she has seen what a gift Catholic education is in forming and giving students the tools necessary to ground their life in faith. In her free time, Celine enjoys playing and watching sports and spending time with her family.
She is excited to bring her passion for both faith and education to St. Maria Goretti and share it with the community.
