Grace Richardson will be joining our St. Maria Goretti teaching staff this fall of 2024.
Grace was born and raised in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, where she attended school in the Mount Horeb Area School District. After graduating high school, she attended Loyola University Chicago, a Jesuit university in the heart of Chicago. While in Chicago, she studied Public Relations and Spanish, in addition to competing on the women’s soccer team. Upon graduation, she decided to continue her pursuit of education and athletics at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where she studied athletic administration and coached on the women’s soccer team.
After coaching, Grace felt a strong call towards education and accepted her first position as a teacher’s assistant in a local elementary school. Working one-on-one with a student with disabilities, Grace was able to further cultivate her passion for helping students discover the incredible light that the Lord has placed in all of us. For the past year, Grace has been a long-term substitute teacher in various school districts around Madison, specifically in Spanish speaking classrooms.
In December of 2023, Grace and her husband were married at St. Paul’s Catholic Student Center in downtown Madison. With the sole mission of celebrating the love of Christ with all of God’s children, Grace is passionate and overjoyed to get the opportunity to continue to share the love of Christ through education.
