Meg Flynn started teaching at St. Maria Goretti in the fall of 2023.
Meg is originally from Nebraska, where she attended an all-girls Catholic high school. She went to school at the University of Mary in North Dakota, and in her last semester she had the opportunity to be a student missionary at Arizona State University. Meg graduated with a history degree, minoring in Catholic Studies. After a year of living and working at Camp Grey, Meg fell in love with Wisconsin and decide to call it her home.
From 2020-2023 Meg taught in a combined 7/8 grade class at a Catholic school just north of the Madison area. She had the opportunity to teach most subjects in 5th through 8th grade during that time and she enjoyed seeing the interconnectedness of learning across all subject areas. As a history major, teaching all the subjects made her love and appreciate the process of learning even more than before. She also enjoyed challenging the students to a game of four square during recess.
Meg met her husband, Conor, in 2021, and they were married at St. Maria Goretti in the fall of 2022. Meg and Conor can be found at Mass at SMG every Sunday, and have been known to eat a donut or two after! They are expecting their first child at the beginning of December.
