Volunteer Opportunities

Home and School Association - There are many volunteer opportunities through the Home and School Association. Visit our Home and School Association page for more information.

School Uniform Resale Closet - We need help putting donated clothing on the shelves/racks and help straightening stacks of clothes. Families can donate clothing anytime of year, so we have a year-round need for help in the resale closet to ensure it stays tidy and organized.

SCRIP Program - This program requires many hours of volunteer help to process and fill SCRIP orders. SCRIP is sold all year long at school and after weekend Masses.

Room Parents - Each class at SMG School has 2 parent volunteers who organize classroom parties, teacher Birthday gifts, and Teacher Appreciation gifts/events. These roles are filled in August and last the duration of the school year.

Athletic Board - The Athletic Board promotes and organizes athletic opportunities at our school and oversees the administration of the Athletics program.

VIRTUS & Volunteer Training

Any person that wants to work or volunteer with the children at St. Maria Goretti must show proof of competing the Protecting God's Children or the VIRTUS Program online. Visit the Catholic Diocese of Madison and click on VIRTUS Program Information. Follow the directions to complete the coursework.

Once you have successfully completed the VIRTUS program online your name will be added to the registry of all those in compliance. Thank you!
