Growing in Character: A School of Virtue & Academic Excellence
"While the world promotes a false notion of freedom, encouraging people to “do whatever you want”, our faith teaches “the more one does what is good, the freer one becomes (CCC, 1733). At St. Maria Goretti, we help form students in virtue – habits by which they are able to choose the good easily, quickly and joyfully. Where sin enslaves, virtue frees students with skills (like prudence, courage, justice and temperance) to love God and neighbor excellently, where authentic happiness is found.
Committed to true academic excellence, we draw from the Church’s time-tested approach to education, rooted in the liberal arts and sciences. We desire to educate the whole child – mind, soul, heart and strength – helping them develop a life-long love of learning as they seek goodness, truth, and beauty for its own sake. "
